Fixing Chipped Mod Crashes
Fix Chipped Mod crashes and errors: missing Athena or Resourceful Lib, loader mismatches, server join errors, and texture seams.

Read the crash screen first
Most Chipped problems are dependency or version issues, and the loader usually names the cause. Fabric shows a list of unmet requirements; NeoForge shows a missing-mods screen. Take a screenshot before closing it. The text tells you which file to add or replace.
Missing Athena or Resourceful Lib
If the screen mentions athena or resourcefullib, download the library for the same Minecraft version and loader. Chipped will not start without both. Delete older copies so only one version of each is in the mods folder.
Wrong loader or version
A Fabric jar on NeoForge, or a 1.20.1 jar on 1.21.1, fails immediately. Check the file names: loader and version should match your profile. When in doubt, delete every Chipped-related jar and download a fresh matching set.

Cannot join a server
Registry or mismatched-mod errors on join mean your client and the server have different versions. Ask the server owner for the exact Chipped, Athena and Resourceful Lib versions, and match them precisely.
Textures look wrong
If blocks show borders where they should connect, Athena is missing, outdated, or overridden by a resource pack. Remove other connected-texture mods temporarily and test again. Some shader packs also change edge lighting; try the default shader profile.
Slow loading or low FPS
Chipped adds thousands of models, so first launch is slower. Give Minecraft 4 to 6 GB of RAM in the launcher, add Sodium on Fabric, and keep your modpack lean while you test.
